Is FAM connected directly to my Yahoo league?+
Not yet. FAM uses Yahoo's player projections and draft-room market data, but you enter league rules and record live picks yourself. That keeps the first release predictable while Yahoo-only support is tested.
What is the difference between Average Pick and Expert Rank?+
Average Pick follows where players are going in Yahoo drafts. Expert Rank follows Yahoo's current Snake Draft ranking. The selected source changes simulated availability and the recommended roster.
Why do the three roster strategies recommend different teams?+
They optimize different objectives. Starting Lineup First concentrates value in starters, Balanced protects starters plus scarce depth, and Most Total Points assigns more value to the bench.
Does FAM guarantee that a player will be available?+
No. Snake availability is an estimate based on the selected Yahoo source. Live Draft removes actual selections and recalculates the plan as the room changes.
How does the Team Builder grade work?+
The grade compares the completed team with FAM's strongest unlocked roster under the same rules. It scores starters, value above replacement, depth, draft or budget efficiency, and bye balance. It is projection-based—not a guarantee or historical backtest.
Do I need an account?+
No. Guest mode stores settings and saves in the current browser. A passkey profile is optional and syncs named rule sets, plans, and resumable drafts across devices.
Why passkeys instead of email and password?+
Passkeys use Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, or a password manager. FAM never stores a password, and there is no password-reset email that can be stolen or abused.
Can I use my passkey on another device?+
Yes. A synced provider such as Apple Passwords, Google Password Manager, or Proton Pass can offer the same passkey on another supported device. You can also choose the QR-code option and approve with the phone that holds it.
What if I lose access to my passkey?+
FAM has no email recovery. While signed in, open Your FAM and register another passkey with a second provider or device. If every registered passkey is lost, the profile cannot be restored.
Is FAM affiliated with Yahoo or the NFL?+
No. FAM is an independent fantasy-football planning tool. Yahoo and NFL names identify the data and sport the tool supports.
